MY son passed in a tragic accident 13 years ago, and i still surround myself with his love, through memories and pictures. Time does heal the pain, but remember, right now, your family is your support, love them and forgive those that have and are continuing to hurt you. Blaming others solves no problems. Hating others only makes you feel worse. Fighting others only disrespects the loved one who passed who wouldn't even want you to do such things. It is OK to be confused with God, he understands. It is OK to question God, he will answer you. It is OK to yell at God in anger, he can listen better than anyone. It is OK to turn your back from God, because when you finally turn around, he is still there for you, with arms wide open. Cry out to him for strength, for peace, for comfort, even while you are bitter, hurt, and angry. Even though I never understood anything with my sons death, God was always there. You will have valleys and you will have mountain top life experiences, but God is always there. It took me over 5 years of pain and anger to realize that even though God allowed it to happen, he did not cause it to happen. And the "Why?" question that I asked over and over every single day, I will never know, and I had to realize, I never would. Seek help. Go to counseling. Find a grief support group. Talk about it as much as you can. And from someone who has lived your tragedy, don't run from your spouse, but draw strength from each other, time heals all things, life will move on, and you and your husband will continue to love Landon forever.
